The Indiana State AFL-CIO is proud to make endorsements for state level candidates and will endorse candidates at 2024 election next year. Endorsements are based on voting records, in-person interviews, and responses to a questionnaire issued to all candidates (and can be found below). Questionnaires for U.S. Congress, State Representative, & State Senate will be available post primary and endorsements will be decided by our Committee on Political Education (COPE) Delegates at our COPE Convention in June. 

The Indiana State AFL-CIO questionnaire must be submitted electronically by Friday, May 31st, 2024 in order to be considered for endorsement at our convention on Friday, June 7th, 2024.

Our local bodies make endorsements for local candidates. These endorsement recommendations are voted on by their local Committee on Political Education (COPE), made up of representatives from all affiliated unions, and does not keep a specific local union from making their own endorsements. All county, township and down ballot races should complete the local office candidate questionnaire below.
